As an intern in Quebec, you are fully protected under the听. This legislation guarantees important rights, such as access to leave, protection from t, and safeguards against any form of retaliation for asserting your legal rights.听

In addition, interns fall under the scope of the听听and the听. These laws ensure that you may be eligible for compensation and support in the event of a workplace injury or illness.

It鈥檚 essential that you become familiar with any potential health and safety risks in your internship setting and receive proper training from your host organization to ensure a safe experience.

Because participation in our Internship Programs requires that interns be paid, you are considered an employee under the听. This means you are entitled to the full range of rights and protections that apply to all workers in Quebec.

In other provinces, there are federal labour standards for interns who are working in a federally regulated workplace or industry:听.听础濒濒 are required to follow the Canada Labour Code and meet the labour standards regarding occupational health and safety, standard hours, wages, vacations and holidays.
