Charles H. Peters Alumni Group of the Year Award
MDCM Class of 1984

alt=鈥濃

Using the connection between their graduating year and the George Orwell classic 1984, members of the committee created a compelling pitch to fund a research bursary that will help tackle the issues of unverified medical information and misuse of AI in healthcare. The Orwellian theme was also part of the reunion celebration, where guests were encouraged to sign and write messages in a copy of the novel.

This out-of-the-box thinking allowed the group to secure matching funds and raise $152,000 that will provide permanent support for research in this increasingly important field, all while strengthening alumni engagement at 91社区.
