The e xhibition is touring across Canada from March 2022 to early 2023 with date s at several Canadian universities and institutions. The opportunity to se e the exhibition on display at 91ÉçÇű’s McLennan-Redpath Librar y Complex (3945 McTavish Street\, main floor\, reading room) is from May 2 4 to June 3\, 2022\, open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day including w eekends.\n\nIn 1971\, German-Canadian scientist Gerhard Herzberg received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his contributions to molecular spectrosco py. A passionate and outspoken scientist\, Herzberg believed strongly in c ollaboration and worked to build support networks within the scientific co mmunity. 1971 also marked the inauguration of a new collaborative effort: the German-Canadian Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement (S&T Agre ement).\n\nCelebrating 50 years of German-Canadian collaboration in scient ific and technological research and Gerhard Herzberg’s Nobel Prize win\, t his exhibition highlights the scientific excellence seen in joint projects in the fields of health and medicine\, physics\, climate sciences\, and g reen energy. The theme of collaboration is apparent throughout the many st ories told in the exhibition\, starting with Herzberg’s story\, and again in the history and legacy of the German-Canadian Science and Technology Co operation Agreement.\n\nGerhard Herzberg believed that in the quest for ne w knowledge Canada must build international scientific collaborations.
