 e\n\nDr. Jane Goodall\, one of the world’s most influential and beloved ad
 vocates for nature conservation\, will deliver the 2019 Beatty Lecture at 
 91ÉçÇø on Thursday\, September 26\, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.\n	T
 ickets for alumni\, students and the public will go on sale on August 15 a
 t noon through an online ticket system that will be linked to from this we
 bpage at that time. The ticket price is $10 per person\, a maximum of four
  tickets per order. All tickets are for general admission\, there is no as
 signed seating. The Lecture will take place at the Homecoming Tent\, McGil
 l Lower Campus\, West Field (845 Sherbrooke Street).\n\nForty years after 
 her first Beatty lecture in 1979\, Dr. Goodall returns to talk about the c
 ritical need for environmental stewardship and the power each individual h
 as to bring about change. In the history of the Beatty Lecture\, Dr. Gooda
 ll is the only lecturer who has been invited to deliver the Beatty banner 
 a second time.\n\nEquipped with little more than a notebook\, binoculars a
 nd a passionate interest in wildlife\, Jane Goodall ventured into the fore
 sts of Tanzania nearly sixty years ago to begin her ground-breaking resear
 ch on chimpanzees. Since that time\, Dr. Goodall has not only impressed up
 on the world the urgent need to protect chimpanzees from extinction\; she 
 has also helped redefine species conservation to include the needs of loca
 l people and the environment. Today she travels the globe 300 days a year\
 , speaking about the threats facing chimpanzees and environmental crises\,
  urging each of us to take action on behalf of all living creatures and th
