Biography: 

G. Eric Jarvis, MD, MSc, is Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Social and Transcultural Psychiatry, 91社区, and Director of the Cultural Consultation Service and the Culturally Focused Early Psychosis Program at the Jewish General Hospital鈥檚 Culture and Mental Health Research Unit. He has been conducting in-depth cultural consultations of immigrants and refugees since 1999. His research interests include the cultural adaptation of mental health services, linguistic barriers in mental health care, and religion and mental health. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Transcultural Psychiatry, is Chair of the Canadian Psychiatric Association鈥檚 Transcultural Psychiatry Section, and writes about the history of psychiatry.
