 sol particles have short and long term effects of global importance. I wil
 l cover my recent research\, conducted at AOS\, to model how aerosol parti
 cles evolve in the atmosphere. This seminar will include the experimental 
 technique developed to measure aerosol surface tension\, recently publishe
 d in PNAS. The second discussion will center on our new aerosol thermodyna
 mic model\, which has applications in large scale chemical transport model
 s. I will cover how our model uses a reduced complexity approach and machi
 ne learning to increase model fidelity without increasing the computation
