 g Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta. His articles on Britis
 h imperialism have appeared in the Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth Hi
 story\, Journal of British Studies\, Journal of Canadian Studies\, Austral
 ian Historical Studies\, South African Historical Journal\, and more. Darr
 en’s interests also span digital humanities and public history. He develop
 ed his own historical video game in 2022 (https://darrenreid.itch.io/ab-un
 o-sanguine)\, publish an article about historical game development in The 
 Public Historian\, and is currently pursuing a new book project on the int
 ersection of natural history museums and Canadian environmental colonialis
 m.\n	\n	Alan Lester is Professor of Historical Geography at the University o
 f Sussex and author most recently of Ruling the World: Freedom\, Civilisat
 ion and Liberalism in the Nineteenth Century British Empire\, and Deny and
  Disavow: Distancing the Imperial Past in the Culture War. He is editor of
  The Truth About Empire: Real Histories of British Colonialism. He is also
  co-editor of the Manchester University Press Studies in Imperialism serie
