Adrian Liu
Biography:

Adrian Liu is from the Department of Physics and the Trottier Space Institute. His research uses data from large radio telescopes such as the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA) and the Canadian Hydrogen Observatory and Radio transient Detector (CHORD). This will enable an unprecedented view of our cosmic history, from Cosmic Dawn (when first-generation stars and galaxies formed) to the present day where Dark Energy is mysteriously causing our Universe's accelerated expansion. Mentorship is important because navigating academia often requires unwritten insider knowledge, unfairly favouring those in "in" groups. Mentorship is one tool for (partially) levelling the playing field.
