Orga nized with the support of the Kanien鈥檏eh谩ka Onkwaw茅n:na Raotiti贸hkwa Langu age and Cultural Centre\, 91社区 Faculties of Arts and Education\, the McG ill Indigenous Studies Program\, and 91社区's Institute for the Study of I nternational Development\, the聽purpose of this Symposium is to:\n\n(a) sig nal 91社区鈥檚 commitment to Indigenous languages in this province and聽\n (b) examine more closely what role the University should play in supporting t he health of Indigenous languages\, locally and聽regionally.\n\nThe Symposi um will involve both closed-door and public sessions聽with the goals of est ablishing a broad consultative body on this question and developing聽a conc rete plan of action for 91社区 to pursue.
