DESCRIPTION:In Budget 2018\, the Government of Canada committed $5.5 millio
 n over 5 years\, starting in 2018-2019\, for Status of Women Canada to wor
 k with stakeholders on the Advisory Committee towards developing the Frame
 work to Prevent and Address Gender Based Violence at Post-Secondary Instit
 utions. The Framework will contribute to consistent\, comprehensive and su
 stainable approaches to preventing and addressing gender-based-violence at
  post-secondary institutions.\n\nThe Advisory Committee will provide advic
 e and feedback on the development\, consultation and implementation of the
  Framework. IMPACTS Partner\, Dr. Karen Busby\, who is a professor of law 
 and the director of the Centre for Human Rights Research at the Faculty of
  Law\, University of Manitoba sits on the Status of Women Canada Advisory 
 Committee. \n\nThe first in-person meeting will be held in Montreal on Jan
 uary 16 and 17\, 2019. More information about the Advisory Committee and i
