It is widely used on server infrastructure and among st the scientific community. Especially\, when you want to work with remot e research servers or databases\, you might need to know your way around t he Linux command line.\n \n At the end of this workshop\, you will:\n    > ha ve a basic understanding of the Ubuntu operating system\n    > be able to u se SSH to log into a remote computer\n    > be able to work with files and folders\n    > be able to manage users and permissions\n    > be able to ins tall and update software\n\nPre-requisites? None. The workshop will use a virtual Linux environment on our classroom computers.
