 in a basic introduction to version control using git and GitHub. Using a s
 ample project\, participants will perform some basic git operations in bot
 h RStudio and the command line. Emphasis is on sharing code to further rep
 roducible research. Advanced operations\, such as those used in software d
 evelopment\, will not be demonstrated.\n\nAt the end of the workshop\, you
  will be able to:\n	-  Understand the theory behind version control systems
 .\n	-  Learn best practices using git for reproducible research.\n	-  Make c
 hanges to a project in RStudio\, commit to git and push it to GitHub.\n\nP
 rerequisites:\n	-  Understanding of filesystems\, e.g. from Understanding f
 ile systems workshop\;\n	-  Basic knowledge of R and RStudio.\n	-  Install R
